A software component of Tomcat, Catalina implements a servlet container as defined by Sun Microsystems. If your Process Commander system is supported by Tomcat, Catalina supports execution of the PRServlet servlet and other servlets.

An HTTP request to Catalina has four elements. For example, in this case:

http://bigbertha:8080/prweb/PRServlet

• bigbertha is the host
• 8080 is the service (TCP/IP port number)
• prweb is the context
• PRServlet is the Web resource, a servlet
