This word has four meanings depending on context:
- An open work object is a work object that is not
yet resolved, or was reopened after it was previously
resolved. The property Work-.pyStatusWork
determines whether a work object is open or resolved. Any
status value that does not start with the literal text
Resolved
is an open status value.
- An open assignment is one that has not yet been
processed by a user. Open assignments are associated with a
worklist or workbasket.
- An open instance is one that is copied to a
requestor's clipboard as a page containing properties.
The instance may or may not be locked. The instance is
"closed" when an activity causes the Commit method
to complete and write the property values of the instance
into the PegaRULES database. Closing the instance does not
delete the clipboard page.
- Using the open authoring feature, you can work
with your personal choice of Java, XML, and HTML
editors.
