Introduced with V5.5, the optional SmartBPM Platform as a Service product (PaaS) allows IT departments to host multiple separate Process Commander systems using one server, implementing a form of "cloud computing". The Process Commander instances share compute and database resources, reducing the load on IT systems, and additional virtual systems — each known as a tenant — can be generated on request from clients.
