Because flow markers exist only in the context of the flow rule they are created in, the New window for a flow marker appears only when you click the Save Flow Marker button in the test navigation window of a flow rule. A flow marker rule has three key parts, only one of which you specify:
Field |
Description |
Class Name |
Read only. Set to the type of the rule this test case tests. |
InsName |
Read only. Set to the pxInsName value of the flow rule this test case tests. |
Purpose |
The name of the flow marker. Enter a short, descriptive name for the rule. |
A good
idea is to create a separate RuleSet to hold test case rules,
rather than save them into a RuleSet that will be moved to a
production system. For more information, see the Pega Developer
Network article
25095 Creating a
RuleSet for Test Cases and Test Suites.
For general information about the New form, see Completing the New Rule dialog box.
As with most rules, when you search for a test case, the system shows you only those rules that belong to a RuleSet and version that you have access to.
Test case rules are associated with a single tested rule (identified by the second key, InsName) and they cannot be qualified by time or circumstance.
