Troubleshooting — ZIP Move error: Duplicate record found |
An error occurs when importing a ZIP archive with the Import Archive tool.
ZIP Move error: Duplicate record found.
The error occurs even if the Overwrite Existing Rules and Overwrite Existing Data check boxes are selected.
Three scenarios can produce this message.
Case 1: Using the archive tools, a developer exports a rule on a source system and imports it to a destination system. The RuleSet version for the rule is not locked. Later, on the source system, the rule is deleted and reentered, with the same visible key.
If the rule is then exported again and imported to the destination system, it is not considered an "existing rule" because the previous rule and the current one have different creation dates. But the new rule is considered a duplicate rule because the visible key, RuleSet, and version are the same as the earlier one.
Case 2: In a product rule, the order of entries in the RuleSets to Include array on the Contents tab is significant. During import, the RuleSet versions are uploaded in the reverse order they appear in the array. Consider this scenario:
Case 3: A ZIP archive contains rules that apply to a class, but the class is not present in the ZIP archive and not present on the destination Process Commander system.
