Cross-browser support for user portals

Users expect to be able to use the browser of their choice when interacting with an application through a browser. Developing the user interface with composite portals ensures that the application will work properly with Internet Explorer 6+, Firefox 2+, and Safari 3+. Composite portals use harness rules, for which Process Commander generates cross-browser-compatible code.

Use the Browser Compatibility Report of the Application Preflight tool to assess the user interface rules in your application.

Firefox and Safari do not support ActiveX controls. Applications that expect to support access from Firefox or Safari browsers cannot include functions that depend on ActiveX controls.
