An Application Profile is a collection of information that specifies business flows for work types, use cases, requirements, and other processing elements like reports, correspondence, and interfaces for a project implementation. It also provides implementation time frames and sizing estimates. Information is captured by the Application Profiler that produces a printable project document and integrates with the Application Accelerator to create or extend an application or framework.

Creating a profile is part of the suite of implementation tools supported by Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO). PROJ-893 5.4

To start the Application Profiler:

In the Designer Studio:

• To create a new profile: select New Application > Application Profile from the Application menu.
• To open an existing profile: select New Application > Profiles in Progress from the Application menu.

In the Business Analyst portal:

• To create a new profile: select > Application Actions > Define Profile.
• To open an existing profile: select > Application Actions > Open Profile and choose a profile from the list.

Don't confuse the Application Profiler with the Profiler tool — an unrelated performance and debugging aid — or with an operator profile.
