C-1876 The Derby database engine is an all-Java open-source relational database project, created initially by IBM. REMOVED Version 5.1 systems using a J2EE application server may store Virtual File Interface files in a local Derby database on the server. This is an alternative, defined in the prconfig.xml file, to storing such virtual files in the PegaRULES database.

Derby is included in the Personal Edition of Process Commander.
