Back Forward Utility task

A Utility task, represented by the shape in a Visio flow diagram, references an activity that updates a work object, but does not require user interaction and input. Your system includes standard activities for utility tasks, and you can create additional ones.

Each utility task references an activity with an Activity Type of Utility.

NoteDon't confuse Utility tasks — part of a flow — with the unrelated Rule-Utility- rule types; the Rule-Utility- rule types support Java functions.

A Utility activity can use the TaskStatus-Set method to return a text result to the flow.
