xxxxxxxx revise as needed for GRP-15562 xxxxxxxx The optional
Virtual Enterprise Repository capability allows
your company to build a central repository of Process Commander ZIP
archives that can be easily installed on participating Process Commander
systems.
5.5 GRP-517 VER promotes reuse and sharing, and can
simplify the task of distributing updated RuleSet versions to multiple
other systems.
- The ZIP archives are known as assets. Assets can consist of
a single RuleSet version, all rules in all versions of a RuleSet, the
rules and other objects defined by a product rule.
- The Process Commander systems from which assets are obtained are
known as development systems.
An administrator or developer on such systems (who has the
PegaRepository RuleSet) can submit a ZIP archive that (if
approved) is added to the VER repository.
By connecting to a dedicated Process Commander server that hosts the
VER repository, authorized administrators can:
- Browse through available assets in the repository, using the
familiar Class Explorer
- Update the status of assets in the repository (for example, to
active, suspended, or retired)
- Download and install an asset onto a local Process Commander
system.
VER assets may be contributed from V5.4+ Process Commander system.
VER is one of four products in the Federated Business Frameworks.
See Pega Developer Network article PRKB-25633 About the Virtual Enterprise Repository.
