Completing the Steps tab — Entering Method parameters

Click the button in the column to expand the Method field, or click the to expand all fields for that row. The results depend on the contents of the Method field:

• If it contains a method name, fields for the parameters of that method appear.
• If it contains Call, Branch, Collect, Flow-New, Queue, or Rule followed by a space and an activity name, fields for each activity parameter appear. You can indicate that the parameter page of this activity is to become the parameter page of the target activity ("parameters passed by reference").
• If it contains Java, a text area appears that can contain a fragment of inline Java source code.

Complete the method parameters, activity parameters, Java source code as indicated. To enter method parameters, use SmartPrompt when available to select from a list. Click the help button () to access help for a specific method. Use the pencil icon () to review or update a rule referenced in a parameter.

For a Java step, click the pencil icon () to start the Java editor on your workstation.
