About Database data instances
|
|
Complete the Database form to define each relational database to which PRPC connects. After you identify a database and install a suitable JDBC library on the PRPC server, PRPC can connect to and interact with that database.
Database data instances are referenced in database table data instances as a first key part.
Database Table data instances for the PegaRULES database are referenced implicitly by class rules. Database Table data instances for external relational databases are referenced in Connect SQL rules.
Use the Rules explorer to list database data instances on your system.
The Data-Admin-DB-Name class contains database data instances. They are part of the SysAdmin category.
Database data instances are always stored as rows of the pr4_base
table.
When you save a database data instance, or open an existing one, it is automatically associated ("associated") with the RuleSet of the Application rule for the current application. This association assists with application packaging. You can update the associated RuleSet using the field in the upper right corner of the form. See Identifying parts of rule and data forms.
If there is no RuleSet associated with the data instance (for example, for existing instances not previously associated with a RuleSet), the Associated RuleSet displays [none]
.
