About WS Security Profile data instances
|
|
Enable Web Services Security (WS-Security) on a SOAP connection to securely move messages to and from your application. After WS-Security is enabled, any SOAP message moving through a connection will do so securely.
WS Security data instances are referenced on the Advanced tab of Connect SOAP, Service SOAP, and Connect dotNet rules.
Use the Rules explorer to list the WS Security Profile data instances in your system.
The Data-Admin-Security-WSSecurityProfile class contains WS Security Profile data instances. They are part of the Security category.
When you save a WS Security Profile data instance, if the Associated RuleSet is [none]
, the system completes this field with a RuleSet from the current application. This association assists with application packaging. You can update the associated RuleSet using the field in the upper right corner of the form. See Identifying parts of rule and data forms.
If there is no RuleSet associated with the data instance (for example, for existing instances not previously associated with a RuleSet), the Associated RuleSet displays [none]
.
