The precise definition of named user, regular user, and occasional user for your system depend on your Pegasystems license and the Data-Admin-License instance identified in the System instance, and may not match the definition provided here.
A named user is a classification of an Operator ID used in the License Compliance facility. Typically, an Operator ID instance identifies a named user if the License Type field on that tab is set to Named
.
During a measurement period, an operator classified as a named user who signs on to the system is further classified as a regular user or occasional user, based on the pattern of usage through the month and details of usage during the period. For example, a named user may be classified as a regular user in one period (for example January), an occasional user in February, and neither in March.
To see a chart of period-by-period counts of active named users on your system, select> System > Tools > Usage Metrics > Named Users Chart.
