System architect

A system architect is an application developer team member who contributes object-oriented design and technical implementation skills.

Typically, a system architect works with rules in the Property, Technical, and integration categories. Developers holding this role may need skills in integration technologies, XML, debugging, and some familiarity with Java.

This is an informal designation within the team. System architects, like other team members who use the Version 6 Designer Studio, need the capabilities and privileges provided by the PegaRULES:SysAdm4 role.

In Version 4, a standard access role and portal was defined for system architects.
