Organizational RuleSet

The organizational RuleSet for a requestor is a RuleSet identified in the Organizational RuleSet field of the Details tab of organization data instance (Data-Admin-Organization class) to which the requestor belongs.

Three tools use this RuleSet:

• The RuleSet Version created by the Application Express identifies your own organizational RuleSet as a prerequisite to the RuleSet Version it creates.
• The Localization wizard derives a target language-specific RuleSet from the developer's organizational RuleSet.
• The Field Value Manager derives a target language-specific RuleSet from the developer's organizational RuleSet.

This field on the Organization form is optional. If blank, the requestors associated with this organization have no organizational RuleSet.

Even if your organization has a designated organizational ruleset, the system does not require that this rulesetappear on your own RuleSet list.
