Subcase

A subcase is any case that is covered by a parent case. The subcase represents work that must be completed to resolve the parent. Subcases can parent other subcases.

Subcases may be instantiated:

• Automatically — By the system when the parent case is created.
• Manually — By the user when the case type is selected from the Other Actions ... menu in the parent user form, or from the right-click context menu in the My Cases tab on the Case Manager portal.

Select the Show in Create Menu option in the Cases Explorer action menu so that they can be instantiated in the Create menus on the Case Manager portal, and on the Case Designer.
