Use this tab to map the segments output of the model to decision results.
The tab displays the total number of classes corresponding to the segmentation output of the predictive model.
- Click Edit to group classes, mapping them to class ranges that are assigned to the same action that should be taken for classes that fall into the corresponding classification. Use the Map with next segment checkbox to map the current class to the next.
Predictive models are often constructed to generate the largest possible number of classes (segments) that exhibit predicted behavior, steadily increasing as the class number increases. However, business strategies are often translated to two or three alternative strategies, typically associated with probability of predicted behavior (high, medium, and low). Remapping the classification defined in the predictive model to the typically smaller number of business strategies allows you to increase the quality of business.
For example, if a lower propensity class is reassigned to the medium propensity class where fewer customers are presented with a product offer but a greater proportion responds, the volume of business decreases but the quality increases.
- Click Save to save the mapping and refresh the tab with the number and range of classes you have mapped.
- In the Result column, enter text for the resulting action.
Click Save to save the instance.
