Using FTP server data instances

To transfer a file using FTP:

  1. Define an FTP server instance. On the Environment tab, click Test Connectivity to confirm the connection information.
  2. In an activity, use the Connect-FTP method to transfer the file.
  3. Include the activity at an appropriate place within a flow, or as part of an agent that runs on a schedule.

FTP facilities are supported by the Apache Software Foundation file commons-net-1.4.1.jar.
