Following enables a user to track an open case by including the followed case in the Following area on the Case Manager portal.

The Follow icon is available in the Work-.pyWorkToolbar section of the standard Perform, Review, and Confirm harnesses.

Users can follow a case in two ways:

Follower work party role

When a user follows a case, the user is added to the case as a work party with the role name Follower.

To begin following a case, the user must be able to temporarily lock the case. If the case is in use and cannot be locked, a message displays identifying the user who has currently locked the case.

When a user unfollows a case, the operator is removed from the Follower work party for the case.
