Interactive charts allow chart users to grow or shrink the level of detail presented in a chart using a slider control.

To view and work with version 5 interactive charts, users workstations must have the Flash Player 10 browser plug-in from Adobe Systems Inc. This is available as a small free download available from www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer.
Development
To develop an interactive chart:
- Using V6.X capabilities: Create a summary-type report definition that has at least one aggregated column and one unaggregated column. You can create a Report Definition in two ways:
- Create a report definition in the Report Browser. When you have created the report, you can add a chart in the Report Editor.
- Create a report definition directly using the rule form.
- Using V5.X capabilities: Use the use the V5 Report Wizard or the Summary View form create a summary view rule to extract and summarize the data values. Then complete the Chart tab to define the chart type, interactions, colors, labels, and fonts.
