You can configure a stage to signify that a case has reached the end of its life cycle. When all steps in the stage are complete, your application automatically closes, or resolves, a case.
Open a case type in Case Designer and click a stage name.
On the General tab of the property panel, indicate that this stage resolves the case type.
For primary stages: Click Resolve the case.
For alternate stages: Click Yes under the Is this a resolution stage? label.
In the Resolution status field, press the Down Arrow key and select a status name.
This is the status that is assigned to the case when the case is resolved.
Tip: Enter a unique name that starts with "Resolved-" to create a new status.
Optional: Select Delete open assignments upon resolution.
All open assignments across all stages are deleted when the case is resolved.
Click Save.
Your stage is automatically updated with a red underline to visually indicate it resolves a case.
