To retain a copy of your branch, you can package the contents of a branch in a JAR file. Data instances tagged with the rulesets associated with the branch ruleset and history record are included in the package.
If you delete a branch or branch ruleset after merging, you can, for example, keep a copy of the branch by packaging it before you merge.
To package a branch, do the following.
If any records in the branch rulesets are checked out, the latest version of the checked-in record is included in the package.
