Virtual rules table (VTable) mode

Virtual rules table (VTable) mode of caching provides advantages over alternative caching approaches, such as rules assembly cache or application based assembly.

Applications in Pega 7 Platform can operate in one of three caching modes:

Note: As a best practice for performance, employ the VTable mode for all applications. Some rules have not been converted to VTable mode yet and still use ABA mode, such as Streams(Harness/Section/Control).

An application operates in VTable mode with no prconfig.xml setting for fua/assemblyCacheMode.
