A Dynamic System Settings data instance has two key parts.

Field

Description

Owning Ruleset

A ruleset associated with this setting. For example, the Pega-ProCom agent maintains instances that contain Pega-ProCom as an Owning Ruleset value.

If this Dynamic System Setting is to define a prconfig setting, enter Pega-Engine as the Owning Ruleset.

Setting Purpose

A name distinguishing Dynamic System Settings data instances associated with one Owning Ruleset.

Dynamic system settings that define the value of prconfig settings have a specific key structure, with three text segments separated by a / character. See How to create or update a prconfig setting.

Many Dynamic System Settings data instances are created automatically during installation. You can create others using this form. Others can be created by an activity that uses the PRSystemSettings interface in the PublicAPI. For more information, see More about Dynamic System Settings.
