A connector is a Pega 7 Platform programmatic component that defines and implements an interface between a Pega 7 Platform application that is acting as a client, and an external system that is acting as a server. A connector is implemented by any of the rule types in the Integration Connectors category.
You can use the Connector and Metadata Wizard to develop many connectors without having to enter class rules, properties, or connector rules. You can also create SOAP, REST, and SAP connectors directly from the Connectors landing page.
