A rule type is a concrete class derived from the Rule- base class. For example, Rule-Obj-Property is a rule type. Two distinct Pega 7 Platform classes are involved for properties and many other rules: the rule type, which is the class to which the rule belongs or is an instance of, and the Applies To class, which is the class to which the rule applies.
