The server node identifies a server that is hosting the Pega 7 Platform rules engine software operating in a distributed mode (when the system is running simultaneously on more than one server, but is sharing one system name). Externally, the node name is the same as the server name (machine name) on the network. An internal identifier known as the Node ID is more granular.
