To access Case Designer, open the Case Type Explorer and click any case-type name.
Case Designer
A contextual property panel shows you the behavior that you can configure in your case type, based on the item you have in focus. It supports case-wide properties, stage properties, and properties that are specific to an individual step. By using the contextual property panel, you can implement broad and granular requirements. For example, you can define different service-level agreements for a step, a stage, or the case itself.
The header of Case Designer has buttons and menus that help you with high-level actions, such as running or saving a case type.
Use the Specifications tab to view and update your linked specifications.
Note: Legacy case types are supported by Case Designer but have fewer options than stage-based case types.
Many of the options in Case Designer expose functionality from other parts of the product, such as rule forms, explorers, and wizards. While the best practice is to build your case type in Case Designer exclusively, advanced users can access some features directly for more complex configurations.
