Using Pega Task |
Pega Task is a development bulletin board that enables operators to track and share information about what they are working on. Tasks are presented in a list format, ordered by due date. Common actions you can perform with each task appear as links at the top of the section.
Each task represents an item that can be completed by you or another operator in one of your access groups. Creating tasks brings visibility to your work and facilitates collaboration with other users who are working on the same application.
To create a task:
Click New task to open a dialog box.
Enter a title or short description of the task in the first input field.
Describe what you will accomplish as part of this task in the second input field.
Select an option from the Shared with drop-down list to indicate who can access this task.
Options include: Private and any access group listed on your Operator ID form.
Enter a date in the Due date field.
The value you specify determines the order in which tasks appear. For example, the task with the most recent due date is the first entry in the list. Tasks without a due date appear at the end of the list, ordered by the time they were created.
Click Create to add the task to the list and close the dialog box.
Alternatively, click Create + to add the last to the list and keep the dialog box open.
After you create a task, double click it to make it available for edit. You can click View tasks in new window to keep your list of tasks open as you work in Designer Studio.
Use the following links to perform an action on an individual task:
Complete — Indicate that the task objective is met.
The task is updated with a message that indicates you completed the task and the time you completed it.
Claim — Indicate that you are working on this task.
This link is visible only for shared tasks. No other operator can edit, complete, or delete a task that you have claimed. Click Unclaim to remove your ownership from a task.
Delete task — Withdraw the task and remove it from the list.
The task is updated with a message that indicates you withdrew the task and the time you withdrew it.
Click Filter list to configure the results of your task list. You can include tasks, based on:
Task visibility — Include private tasks, tasks shared with operators in an access group, or both.
The Both option is selected by default.
Access Group — Further refine the list of tasks based on the access group associated with each task.
All access group names are selected by default. These options are visible when you have specified a task visibility option of Both or Shared.
Task state — Include tasks that have been completed or withdrawn.
Completed and withdrawn tasks are not included in your task list by default.
Pega Task supplements the items in your project worklist, which are open user stories, tasks, bugs, and issues currently assigned to you in the Project Management Framework (PMF). Click View PMF worklist in new window to review the items in your project worklist organized by object name, ID, and status.
This link is visible when your application is integrated with an active instance of PMF.
With your worklist, you can:
Click View Changes to display a list of rule changes you have associated with project items.
Click View Recent Feedback to display recently created feedback items for the product associated with this application.
Click the refresh icon update your worklist with new work assignments and remove resolved work.
