The Scratch Pad

The Scratch Pad is a lightweight tool to give quick access to properties that populate elements of the user interface.

Add properties to use in reports

To use the Scratch Pad to add properties to the Data Explorer in the Report Editor:

  1. Enable the Live UI tool.
  2. Check the Toggle Interaction icon and navigate to the case, landing page, operator ID, or other UI element from which you want to obtain a property.
  3. With the correct UI element in view, uncheck the Toggle Interaction icon to enable the Live UI functions.
  4. Select the field populated with the property you want to obtain.
  5. In the menu that appears, click "Add property to scratch pad."

Scratch Pad properties display at the top of the Data Explorer in the Report Editor. You can add them to reports on the class the property belongs to.

The Scratch Pad refreshes at the start of each user session, and clears itself at the end of a session.
