Completing the Predictors tab

The Predictors tab is divided into two sections:

• In the Predictors section you can define predictors based on properties in the data model or adaptive model parameters.
• In the Parametrized predictors section you can view predictors that get their values from the strategies that reference the adaptive model. Add parameters in the Parameters tab to use them as predictors in models.

If an adaptive model does not have explicitly defined predictors, ADM dynamically adjusts to keep all information encountered within its internal data representation. Which data inputs you should use to define predictors depends on the potential predictive performance. Predictors should be monitored through the behavior profile that analyzes the most important predictive fields detected by the adaptive analytics engine as it learns.

Note: The capability of using predictors depends on the Entitled to use predictors in adaptive models setting in the Services landing page. If this setting is disabled, you can define and use adaptive models in your application, but these models cannot operate based on predictive data.

In the Predictors section, you can add as many rows as your need for predictors. Select existing single-value properties, or create new properties. You can also define predictors based on existing adaptive model parameters. Use one of the following options to add predictors:

Adding a predictor

1. In the Predictors section, click Add predictor.
2. In the Name field, select an existing single-value property or click the plus icon to create a new property.
3. Select predictor's type from the drop-down list.

The new property is added to the list in the Predictors section.

Adding multiple predictors in bulk

1. In the Predictors section, click Add multiple predictors.
2. In the Add predictors dialog box, unfold the menu on the left.
3. Click on a page to display the properties that it contains.
   • Current page - it is a primary page that is always available, even if it does not contains any properties.
   • Page - it is a single page listed under the Current page.
   • Custom page - it is a page that contains pages and classes. Custom page is embedded in a page.
4. Select the properties that you want to add as predictors and click Submit.

The selected properties are addeded to the list in the Predictors section.
