Changing the orientation of a flow

You can change the orientation of a flow to control how shapes and other elements are displayed relative to one another. By maximizing vertical and horizontal space, you present your flow diagram to users in an organized way.

  1. Open a flow by searching for it or by using the Application Explorer.

  2. On the Diagram tab, right-click the white space in the diagram and select an orientation type from the Layout submenu.

  3. Click Save.

The position of each shape, connector, and swimlane is updated, based on the layout that you select. Orientation of swimlane shapes is not updated because it is set when the flow is created.

Tip: To change swimlane orientation, delete all swimlanes from your flow. You can then use the Landscape and Portrait icons in the toolbar of Process Modeler.
