Service invocation count

You can count the number of service invocations on your system by navigating to Designer Studio> System > License> Services Invocation Chart. The interactive column chart shows the count of service invocations on your system by period. The count is irrespective of whether your application has sent responses to service requests.

For example, a License Compliance facility can count a service invocation when all the following items occur:

• A service request is received from an external system.
• The service request requires authentication.
• The License type field on the Security tab of the Operator ID instance used for authentication is set to "Invocation".
• The Method is read-only check box on the Service tab of the service rule form is not selected.

Service BPEL rules and Service Portlet rules are not counted as service invocations. Special rules apply to counting service invocations from Service File rule executions.

Note: The Service BPEL rule is deprecated. For new development, replace this rule type with Service SOAP rules.
