Use Dynamic System Settings data instances to alter the performance of the Pega 7 Platform. They operate similar to prconfig settings, but offer the following advantages:

Dynamic Systems Settings are created either automatically by internal processing or are manually added. Both of these types of settings can be updated by system administrators or by using a rule form. Updates take effect the next time that the system or node is started.
Caution: Do not delete or rename system-created Dynamic Systems Settings data instances except as advised by Pegasystems Global Support staff.
The Data-Admin-System-Settings class contains system settings data instances. They are part of the SysAdmin category.
If no ruleset is associated with the data instance (for example, existing instances that are not previously associated with a ruleset), the Associated Ruleset field displays [none]
. When the data instance is saved, the system completes this field with a ruleset from the current application, which assists with application packaging.
