Uploading a provisioning profile

You upload a provisioning profile from your disk to a new or an already existing certificate set. A provisioning profile for the iOS platform is a collection of digital entities that uniquely ties developers and devices to an authorized iPhone Development Team and enables a device to be used for testing.

1. Edit a certificate set:
   • Open a new certificate set
   • Edit an existing certificate set
2. Click New located next to the Mobile Provisioning file list.
3. Click Browse and select a provisioning profile file from a local directory.
   If necessary, go to the Apple Development Center to create a new provisioning profile for the iOS app you are developing
4. In the Profile name field, enter a name for the provisioning profile. The name cannot include underscore ('_'), dash ('-') or period ('.') characters.
5. Click OK.
6. Click Submit.

Note: Once you have uploaded a provisioning file for an existing certificate set, you can select this modified certificate set for your iOS custom app - see Selecting an iOS certificate set.
