Adding screen captures to application documents

In an application document, you can use screen captures that include real life data to add context to images. For example, you can show a set of selected items and prices in your images for a Purchase Order case type. Providing this detail gives stakeholders a realistic picture of the application's user interface.

Note: For the Document Application tool to identify a flow action screen, the shape referencing that flow action (for example, a connector) must be linked to a specification in the flow.

  1. Identify a case type in your application that contains the screen captures that you want to include.
  2. Create an instance of the case type by using the +Create menu.

Enter values and make selections in each section of the UI to depict a realistic use case. When you are finished, take note of the work object ID.

  3. Open the Document Application tool by clicking Application > Tools > Document from the Designer Studio menu.
  4. Click Application document.
  5. In the Level of detail section, click Customize.
