About Application Requirements
 

Application Requirements are part of the suite of application development tools used in the Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO). Requirements categorize and describe project and processing requirements for an application and the units of work within an application.

Typically, you specify requirements on the Requirements tab on the Application Profile landing page ( Designer Studio> Application > Profile). You can also access this page from the Details panel on the Application Overview landing page . Requirements are available to associate with (link to) an application, specification, or flows as a project evolves.

Where Referenced

Application Requirements are referenced in the following places:

• Application rules reference the requirements associated with and linked to the application (on the application rule's Requirements tab).
• Flows list the requirements linked to the flow (on the flow rule's Requirements tab).
• Application Specifications list the requirements linked to the specifications (on the Requirements tab of the Application Specification rule form).

Access

Use the Records Explorer to list all Application Requirement rules available to you.

Development

To add new instances of a requirement, the application rule must exist.

Category

Application Requirements are part of the Application Definition category. An Application Requirement rule is an instance of the Rule-Application-Requirement class.
