Adding the AutomatedTesting privilege to a role

To obtain the AutomatedTesting privilege and add it it to your existing role or to a new role, complete the following steps.

1. Open your profile by selecting Profile from the operator menu.
2. Review the Roles list to see if you have an existing access role to which you can add the privilege.
3. Open the Roles for Access dialog box by clicking Designer Studio > Org & Security > Tools > Security > Role Names.
4. Complete one of the following steps:
• To add the privilege to one of your assigned roles, click its name in the list.
• To add the privilege to a new role, click New and create a new access role.
5. Click the Role tab in the Access Group Name form.
6. Complete one of the following steps:
   • Select @baseclass in the table.
   • If @baseclass does not appear, click the Plus sign + at the bottom of the page; next, in the Add/Edit role form, select @baseclass in the Class field.
7. Add the AutomatedTesting privilege to @baseclass.
Complete the following steps:

1. Select AutomatedTesting in the Name field in the Privileges section.
2. In the Level field, specify a value. A typical level for this privilege is 2.

8. Complete one of the following steps:
• If you added the privilege to one of your existing assigned roles, log off and log on in to refresh your profile with the new privilege.
• If you created a new access role in the preceding steps, add it to your access group by completing the following steps:

  1. Select Profile from your profile menu and click the name of your access group to open its rule form.
  2. In the Roles list, click Add to add a new row, select your role from the list in that new row, and save the form.
  3. Log off and log back on to refresh your profile with the new privilege.
9. Verify that you have the AutomatedTesting privilege by clicking Designer Studio> Application. If the Automated Unit Testing landing page does not appear in the menu, contact your system administrator.
