The following options can be overridden in the New Application wizard. You access these options on the Advanced Configuration form when you create an enterprise application.
Note: Options that are available on both the Advanced Configuration and Application settings forms are not included in the following list.
Application record name — Enter a name without spaces that is used to create an application rule.
Application version — Enter a version number in the format [Major].[Minor].[Patch].
Project methodology — Select the development methodology that will be used by the team that works on your application.
Built on version — Read only.
The value in this field is set to the highest version of the built-on application that you selected on the Application Settings form.
Framework record name — Enter a name without spaces that is used to create an application rule.
By default, the value in this field is set to the application record name appended by FW.
This field is visible when you select an application structure that includes a framework.
Framework version — Enter a version number in the format [Major].[Minor].[Patch].
Enable Pega API access for application administrators — Select this check box to add the PegaRULES:PegaAPI role to the [Application name]:Administrators access group.
Tip: Keep the names in this section short to comply with the 56-character class-name limit, and so that you can provide descriptive names for your case types and data types in the future.
Organization name — Enter a name that is used to create organization, division, and unit rules, and prefix class names within the organization layer.
Alternatively, press the Down Arrow key to select an existing organization.
Division name — Enter a name for the division in your organization.
If you selected an existing organization, you can press the Down Arrow key and select a division that is in it.
Unit name — Enter a name for the unit in your division.
If you selected an existing division, you can press the Down Arrow key and select a unit that is in it.
Generate reusable division records — Select this check box to extend the organization class layer by creating a division class layer.
Generate reusable unit records — Select this check box to extend the division class layer by creating a unit class layer.
This option is visible when you select Generate reusable division records.
Generate test operators — Select this check box to create a set of standard users for the organization.
This option is visible when you create a new organization.
Operator Password — Enter a password that is associated with each standard user that is created by the wizard.
This option is visible when you select Generate test operators.
The fields in this section are visible when you select an application structure that includes an implementation layer.
Organizational layer — Enter a name that is used to create a class for your organization in the implementation layer.
Division layer — Enter a name that is used to create a class for your division.
This option is visible when you select Generate reusable division records.
Unit layer —Enter a name that is used to create a class for your unit.
This option is visible when you select Generate reusable unit records.
Application layer — Enter a name that is used to create an implementation class and ruleset.
Class group name — Enter a name that is used to create a workpool.
The fields in this section are visible when you select an application structure that includes a framework.
Organizational layer — Enter a name that is used to create a class for your organization in the framework layer.
This option is read-only when you are create an implementation layer.
Application layer — Enter a name that is used to create an framework class and ruleset.
Class group name — Enter a name that is used to create a workpool.
