Using Pega Task

Pega Task is a development bulletin board that enables operators to track and share information about what they are working on. Tasks are presented in a list format, ordered by due date. Common actions you can perform with each task appear as links at the top of the section.

New tasks

Each task represents an item that can be completed by you or another operator in one of your access groups. Creating tasks brings visibility to your work and facilitates collaboration with other users who are working on the same application.

To create a task:

  1. Click New task to open a dialog box.

  2. Enter a title or short description of the task in the first input field.

  3. Describe what you will accomplish as part of this task in the second input field.

  4. Select an option from the Shared with drop-down list to indicate who can access this task.

Options include: Private and any access group listed on your Operator ID form.

  5. Enter a date in the Due date field.

The value you specify determines the order in which tasks appear. For example, the task with the most recent due date is the first entry in the list. Tasks without a due date appear at the end of the list, ordered by the time they were created.

  6. Click Create to add the task to the list and close the dialog box.

Alternatively, click Create + to add the last to the list and keep the dialog box open.

After you create a task, double click it to make it available for edit. You can click View tasks in new window to keep your list of tasks open as you work in Designer Studio.
