Financial functions in decision management
You can use the financial functions available in the Financial library to perform financial calculations. The financial functions extend the Financial Calculation strategy shape to cover the full spectrum of banking and credit risk calculations in decision management.
Consider the following guidelines when you use financial functions:
- You can use financial functions anywhere you can build an expression (for example, in decision tables, decisioning strategies, and so on).
- For each financial expression, you must know the arguments and their sequence.

The rate and number of periods are calculated using the same period unit. For example, if the rate is calculated in months, the number of periods must also be expressed in months.
- Express payments as an array of negative numeric values.
- Express incomes or loans as an array of positive numeric values
