Defining a previous decision

When your data source contains cases with unknown behavior, the available data might include a field that indicates what the decision was when the fields were previously assessed. Previous decisions refer to the accepted cases (accepts) and rejected cases (rejects) that were processed in the sample.

Before you perform the following steps, make sure that you are entitled to use outcome inferencing.

  1. In the Previous decision step, select the Use decision field drop-down list.

  2. Select an outcome field and map each symbol to categories.

If you select <Virtual field>, see Adding virtual fields for more details.

  3. Click Apply.

  4. Click Next.
