Auto-incrementing app build version

When you build a custom mobile app for the Android or the iOS platform from the Mobile Apps form, you can automatically increment the third digit number of the release version by one, as displayed in the Version field, with each build iteration. Incrementing the third digit number of a release version is useful during development and testing stages, so that you can compare different builds of the custom mobile app or SDK mobile app.

When this option is enabled, the version is automatically incremented each time you click Build now or Build again for either the Android or iOS platform. For example, you can click this button to increment the version number from 2.3.0 to 2.3.1 .

1. In Designer Studio, click the name of your Pega 7 Platform application and click Open Mobile Apps.
2. Click a custom mobile app icon.
3. Click the Build tab.
4. In the Platforms section for iOS or Android, expand the Advanced section.
5. Select the Auto-increment version with each build check box.
6. Click Save.
