Select the appropriate role for each predictor. A predictor is a field that has a predictive relationship with the outcome (the field whose behavior you want to predict). Predictors contain information about the cases whose values might show an association with the behavior you are trying to predict. For example, demographics (age, gender, marital status), geo-demographics (home address, employment address), financial (income, expenditure), activity or transaction information (amount of loan taken).
In the Data analysis step, select a predictor and right-click it to change its role.
Predictor - Field known at the time of decision that might be predictive of subsequent behavior.
Ignored - Field that you want to be exclude from analysis and modeling.
Value - Field not known at the time of decision that might be associated with subsequent behavior.
Benchmark - Field that contains predictions generated by another predictive model or process. Use this field as a single-predictor model to compare behavior with the generated models or models.
Previous Score - Field that contains the scores used to make the previous decision. For example, the number of accepted or rejected cases.
This role is available only for the extended scoring models.
Benchmark Inference - Field that contains the probabilities inferred by a benchmark inference system.
This role is available only for the extended scoring models.
Repeat this step for another predictor.
