Modify an input definition to distribute simulation runs on available nodes when your simulation data increased significantly. Change the data class on which the report definition is defined when the data was moved.
Click Designer Studio > Infrastructure > Simulation Settings > Input Definitions.
Click the name of the input definition to modify it.
In the Input Data Class field, select the data class on which the report definition is defined. Typically, this data class is also where the interaction rule is defined.
In the Report Definition field, select the report definition that provides the input data for the simulation.
Optional: Select the Fetch additional embedded pages check box to provide structured input data to the simulations that will use this input definition.
Click Add Item and Add Child buttons to define the data structure.
Select a page with data for each target property and an association rule.
Optional: Click the Distributed Runs tab.
In the Partition Key field, select a property to use as a partition key. Only Integer data type properties are supported for this purpose.
Note: A report definition that you want to distribute across Pega 7 Platform nodes must contain a filter condition that maps the appropriate column to the param.PartitionKey value. Distributed simulations depend on this filter pattern and configuration of nodes in the topology settings.
Click Edit to add or change an associated ruleset for the input definition.
Click Save and Close.
On the Simulation Settings landing page, click Refresh.
