Before moving a Facebook chatbot to a production environment, you can verify whether the chatbot is working correctly by using the preview console. You can test system and custom responses based on commands or other input that you enter, against the text analyzer rules that are associated with the Facebook chatbot configuration. In addition, you can configure the responses in the preview console to make sure that they are correct for the command or greeting message that is entered.
Note: You must purchase a separate license before using Pega Intelligent Virtual Assistant in your application. You must also obtain and install the Facebook channel component from Pega Exchange.
From the Pega Express menu, click the name of a Facebook channel interface.
If you are already editing the Facebook channel interface settings, click Preview.
In the preview console, enter a command or a greeting message, for example: hi
A response is displayed at the top of the screen.
Optional: Click the Configure icon to configure its details.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to test and configure additional responses for the chatbot.
Optional: Turn on the Show analysis switch to display more details about questions and responses for the chatbot.
Optional: Click Clear all to remove all the conversation details from the preview console.
Optional: Click Configure to edit the Facebook channel interface settings.
After you have fully tested and configured the system and custom responses from the preview console, the Facebook chatbot is ready for a production environment.
