Associating a project management work item with a rule at rule creation

When you create a rule or save a rule as a new rule, you can specify that you want to link that rule to a project management work item, such as a user story or a bug. The rule is then linked automatically to any features that are linked to the project management work item. Associating rules and features helps to maintain traceability and makes it easier for you to extend the application, because you can identify the rules that are associated with each feature.

1. In the Current work item section on the Create page, enter or select the work item that you want to associate with the new rule.
2. Click Create and Open after completing the required fields.

The work item that you entered and any features associated with it are now linked to the newly created rule.
