Enabling real-time connectivity between PMF and applications

You can enable real-time connectivity between the Project Management Framework (PMF) and your applications. Establishing this connectivity populates the developer project worklist in Designer Studio. Developers can link their rule changes to items from their PMF worklist.

Note: Integration with PMF is deprecated. You can set up integration with another project management tool, such as Pega Agile Studio, from the Application rule form.

1. Click Designer Studio > System > Settings > Project Management.
2. In the PMF connections details section, complete the following fields:
   • PMF URL – Enter the URL for your PMF instance.
   • PMF SOAP URL – Enter the URL of the SOAP service that passes project tracking data to and from PMF to an application.
3. Click Save connection details.
4. Click Test connectivity to determine if the PMF SOAP URL connects to PMF. A message is displayed that confirms whether the connection is successful.

The following results happen when you establish connectivity between PMF and an application:

• The project worklist is displayed on the Home tab of Designer Studio.
• A Project Management section is available on the New, Save As, and Check In dialogs that captures the project item related to the rule change. In this section you can enter the amount of effort spent and remaining for a task or bug, and create development notes for all items.
