Rolling back and committing tracked data

You can roll back or commit data that has been imported using the import tool with the import.trackData property set to true. The tool lets you commit imported data, or roll back all non-committed data instances to their state immediately prior to when they were imported.

Use an active instance of the Pega Platform with the prpcServiceUtils.bat or prpcServiceUtils.sh script to roll back or commit tracked data. The tool only tracks and supports rolling back data instances that do not belong to the PegaRULES database name (Data-Admin-DB-Name).

You must have a running Pega Platform instance to use the prpcServiceUtils tool.

To roll back or commit tracked data, follow these steps:

  1. Specify whether to roll back or commit tracked data.

    Property nameAction
manageTrackedData.operation Specify whether to roll back or commit tracked data. Tracked data is data that has been imported using the import tool with the import.trackData property set to true. The valid values are:
    • rollback - rolls back tracked data.
    • commit - commits tracked data.
  2. Save and close the prpcServiceUtils.properties file.
  3. Run the prpcServiceUtils.bat or prpcServiceUtils.sh script. For example:
